Rome has allegedly something like 3,000 cafés of which some 30-40 are so-called historic cafés, i.e. with an almost secular history. You can, of course, mostly find them in the city’s center, but don’t be fooled because also in the suburbs you’ll find many cafés with a charming interior and a long history.
In this gallery I’ve included a small – attentively selected - part of Rome’s many fascinating, cozy, strange, surprising, antique and crazy cafés, all bound together by one red thread: they all have that something extra.
